Did I succeed? Not quite, but it’s a start.

I don’t think I completed any of my goals this year. Well, no, I guess I sufficiently kept off my feet to allow the broken one to heal, and I did either read or cull everything on my priorities list for the year. But…otherwise no. Nada.
I had a similar experience with Harry Potter a few years ago. I’d been doing a reread nearly every year for years, and then one year I got through the first few books and just wasn’t interested in picking up the next few. And I haven’t read them since. I figure maybe in 5 or 10 years, I’ll get to the point where they feel fresh and new again, and I’ll enjoy going back to them, like revisiting a friend you haven’t seen in a long time. For now, though, they have their place of honor on my shelves and they can just stay there for awhile. Heh.
