We had a local media personality on campus today and she offered our students lots of great advice, but the best piece of advice was this:
Never say no to yourself, there are plenty of people who will say no to you.
This is something to always keep in mind. Rejection comes at you from all sides, don’t limit yourself because you think you aren’t good enough for that job/contract/deal/etc. The best you can do is try.
Be gutsy.
